Female Hifdh Teacher β ISOC Flagship Program
Position Summary
The Associate female Hifdh Teacher positively impacts the flagship Hifdh program through high-quality Quran instruction, strong classroom management, student mentorship, and consistent progress tracking under the guidance of the Lead Hifdh Teacher and Education Program Director.
This role is focused primarily on direct student instruction, daily accountability, revision support, Tajweed development, and cultivating a classroom culture rooted in discipline, excellence, professionalism, and love for the Quran. The Associate Hifdh Teacher is expected to model strong Islamic character, professionalism, and excellent time management while helping students maximize their time, effort, and potential.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Support
- Teach daily Hifdh lessons for assigned students.
- Listen to and evaluate student memorization and revision consistently.
- Support students in strengthening Tajweed, fluency, retention, and Quranic accuracy.
- Implement memorization and revision plans established by program leadership.
- Track daily student progress, attendance, and performance accurately and consistently.
- Ensure students are using class time effectively and productively at all times.
- Motivate students to develop strong discipline, accountability, and time management habits.
- Model excellent organization, punctuality, preparedness, and professionalism for students.
- Foster a classroom culture that is structured, focused, positive, and spiritually uplifting.
- Build strong relationships with students while maintaining clear expectations and boundaries.
- Help create an environment where students enjoy attending class, feel motivated to grow, and take pride in their Quran journey.
- Assist students who require additional support in memorization, revision, or classroom focus.
- Foster Islamic character, sincerity, respect, discipline, and love for the Quran.
Classroom Management & Culture
- Maintain excellent classroom management and student accountability.
- Create systems and routines that maximize instructional time and minimize distractions.
- Ensure students remain engaged, focused, respectful, and productive throughout the day.
- Address behavioral concerns professionally and consistently in alignment with program expectations.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, ihsaan, and high expectations across the Hifdh program.
- Serve as a positive Islamic role model for students through character, conduct, and professionalism.
Collaboration & Program Support
- Work closely with the Lead Hifdh Teacher to ensure instructional consistency and student success.
- Communicate student concerns, challenges, and progress updates to the Lead Hifdh Teacher regularly.
- Support implementation of classroom systems, schedules, and program expectations.
- Actively participate in Hifdh meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation as needed.
- Uphold the standards, goals, and culture established for the flagship Hifdh program.
- Demonstrate commitment to helping the program become recognized for excellence, strong tarbiyah, and development of highly trained Huffadh.
Parent Communication
- Provide respectful and professional communication with parents regarding student progress when needed.
- Share updates related to memorization, revision, behavior, attendance, or classroom expectations as directed by leadership.
- Support positive relationships between families and the Hifdh program.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate student progress records and reporting.
- Ensure classrooms and learning spaces remain organized, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and Islamic values.
- Participate in relevant ISOC Hifdh program events and activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong memorization of the Quran (Hafidha required)
- Strong Tajweed and Quran recitation skills.
- Previous experience teaching or assisting in a Hifdh or Quran program.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to motivate students while maintaining high expectations and accountability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Organized, dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Passion for Quran education, student tarbiyah, and educational excellence.
- Islamic studies background.
- Ijazah in Quran and/or Tajweed preferred.

Fund Development Manager
The Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC) is seeking a Fund Development Manager to lead and execute fundraising and development efforts for one of the oldest and largest multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multi-generational Muslim communities in Orange County and the Greater Los Angeles area. The Fund Development Manager will have operational responsibility for implementing and managing a systematic fundraising process that supports ISOCβs Annual Fund (operational sustainability) and Capital
Campaign (construction and expansion initiatives). In close partnership with the Executive Director and Religious Director, the Fund Development Manager will help execute a dynamic and sustainable fundraising model that strengthens ISOCβs financial stability and advances its mission to serve the Muslim communityβboth now and for generations to come.
Title: Fund Development Manager
Location: Based in ISOCβs Garden Grove office. The position is in-person only.
Schedule Type: Full-time. Exempt. Occasional evenings and weekends required
Compensation Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
Campaign Development and Execution
β Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns with clear work plans, themes, and timelines.
β Assist in identifying and cultivating target audiences, engaging donors through thoughtful communication and outreach.
β Utilize multiple fundraising channels, including social media, phone outreach, telethons, and in-person meetings, to promote campaigns and assess effectiveness.
β Track campaign metrics, monitor progress against goals, and contribute to forecasting and reporting.
β Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers and campaign ambassadors.
β Manage and support key fundraising initiatives, including:
β Annual Fund
β Capital Campaign for the new master site plan
β Ramadan and special event campaigns
β Planned Giving initiatives
Donor Stewardship
β Maintain and analyze donor data to identify giving trends and opportunities for increased engagement.
β Support proactive outreach to prospective and existing donors through personalized communication strategies.
β Help ensure a positive donor experience that encourages retention, repeat giving, and increased contributions.
β Assist with donor appreciation efforts by sharing the impact of contributions and reinforcing donor connection to ISOCβs mission.
β Maintain accurate records within the nonprofit CRM system, tracking donor interactions, preferences, and giving history.
β Support brand-aligned fundraising communications that reinforce ISOCβs value and distinct role within the Southern California Muslim community.
Grant Management:
β Assist with grant-related activities, including research, proposal development, coordination of submissions, and compliance with reporting requirements.
Internal Collaboration:
β Support the preparation and monitoring of fundraising budgets in collaboration with the executive and relevant staff.
β Contribute to fundraising and marketing plans with defined goals, timelines, and performance measures.
β Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the ISOC brand.
β Assist in training staff and volunteers on campaign-specific fundraising strategies.
β Support opportunities for board members to participate in fundraising and donor engagement activities.
External Collaboration:
β Support the development of partnerships and strategic alliances that advance ISOCβs mission and expand fundraising opportunities.
Accountability and Reporting:
β Prepare and maintain accurate fundraising reports for review by the Executive Director and leadership.
β Support auditable processes to track funds raised and their designated use.
β Participate in regular evaluations of fundraising strategies and recommend improvements.
Perform additional related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
β Bachelorβs degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
β 3β5 years of fundraising or development experience within a nonprofit organization.
β Demonstrated experience supporting fundraising campaigns and donor engagement efforts.
β Familiarity with nonprofit CRM systems for donor management, reporting, and campaign tracking.
β Comfort with public speaking and representing the organization in meetings or on camera.
β Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft donor-facing and internal content.
β Ability to navigate sensitive conversations, collaborate effectively, and contribute to team-based outcomes.
β Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
β Solid grounding in the fundamentals of Islam and an understanding of the American Muslim community and its cultural context.
